Spring Landscape Maintenance Clean Up

This service is performed, weather permitting, in April and May. We provide a very thorough and complete landscape clean-up which can include the following services:

  • Deadwood and Selective Pruning: Select hand pruning of dead, broken, or diseased branches of applicable ornamental trees (up to 8’ - 10’ in height) and shrubs to correct winter or mechanical damage. Winter damage includes plant material damaged by heavy snow, ice loads, and snow removal. This does not include contracted spring, summer and/or fall pruning.
  • Plant Beds: Remove weeds and landscape debris that have accumulated over the winter. Cut back perennials and ornamental grasses. Bare and mulched beds will be ready for their top dressing. Turf adjacent to beds, driveways, patios and edgers will be power-edged to present a neat appearance and to frame plant material. A granular pre-emergent herbicide will be applied to applicable beds for weed control. A quality balanced granular fertilizer can be applied to applicable planting areas after a program is discussed with the homeowner and is deemed necessary.
  • Window Wells: Clean debris from window wells and outside stair wells.
  • Debris: Sweep and/or blow off hard surfaces upon completion of work. Remove all associated landscape debris from site.
  • Please note: Landscape beds that have been neglected and contain perennials, weeds, and grasses cannot be adequately controlled with this one comprehensive clean up. However, with consistent and timely visits provided by our Landscape Maintenance program eventual control is generally assured.
